It’s been a few months since you’ve all seen this sassy little girl, but she wanted to make an appearance today and say hi! This blog celebrated its 4th birthday on Valentine’s Day, and I’m so happy to still be on this journey with all of you.
When I first began ‘The Sassy Grey,’ I wasn’t sure where it would lead me. Four years later, this blog has blossomed from an OTTB training diary into an equestrian lifestyle guide, and I’m so thrilled with all the new changes. Of course, I still miss seeing this dappled grey girl, but I have the real life one just outside my door! Misty turned 11 on the 14th as well, and enjoyed her day; she hung out with the two seniors, Takoma and Traveller, and consumed plenty of treats! She did not, however, enjoy my singing to her, but oh well – such is life!
As always, thanks for sticking with me and logging in to read about my silly equines, fixer upper farm, and equestrian products wish list! If this blog has taught me one thing, it’s that you never know where life will take you. Sometimes I’d be writing an entry and think, ‘what’s the point? Does anyone care?’ Well, the point is happiness. Writing this blog and chronicling my equestrian life makes me happy – and happy has led to opportunity, as it usually does!
So with all that in mind, this year I challenge you. If there’s something you’ve been wanting to do but have put it off because, ‘what’s the point,’ then this is your year. If it will bring you happiness – do it. Do it for you!
Happy birthday Misty Mystique and ‘Maryland Equestrian’ aka ‘The Sassy Grey!’
