Let's Try This Again

Well, this is embarrassing. I posted almost a year ago that I was back and ready to start blogging again…and then…crickets. But it’s a new year, so let’s give it a go again. I really have missed blogging – I just can’t always seem to make the time for it.

But I will try to be better!

Okay, let’s get down to business. As always, I am making changes to my books, my social media presence, etc. As with anything in life, it’s important to keep growing, evolving, pushing. I’ll be the first to tell you that I hate change, but I’m starting to realize that change is something you can’t fight. It’s coming for all of us, whether we like it or not. (I mean I knew this years ago, but what can I say? I’m a slow learner. Or maybe I’m not slow, but rather stubborn).

Anyway, for those of you who follow me on Instagram @marylandequestrian, you may have noticed that I changed my business account @chestnutpenmarketing – to @authorlaurieberglie. Chestnut Pen, my lil writing and editing biz – is still around, but I rarely have anything (of real interest) to share.

And while I have always shared my author journey on my main Maryland Equestrian (ME) account, I wanted a place where I could post author-y things with abandon and not bore anyone. ME is my personal account which showcases my lifestyle in general – horses, riding/training/showing, writing, travel agency, horse farm life, home renovations, life in Maryland, etc. The author aspect is one of many things I share there – and I wanted a place where it would be the only thing.

So that’s the reason for the change. If you would like to follow the life and very exciting times (lol) of a self-published author, please give me a follow @authorlaurieberglie!

And please stay tuned for more posts! I promise this won’t be my yearly entry lol!
